Halwa recipe is made by using all purpose flour.There are many type of halwa recipes in india.Carrot halwa,sooji ki halwa,Bombay karachi halwa,Ghee halwa,Tirunelveli halwa,Corn flour halwa,pumpkin halwa.In india only famous place for halwa.But all the halwa made by using different flour.In this pumpkin halwa recipe i used white pumpkin to prepare halwa recipe. White pumpkin having more health benefits.Pumpkin contains more water.White pumpkin is to remove kidney stone .if we will take a white pumpkin like a juice twice a week removes kidney stone permanently.In this halwa recipe i added jaggery powder instead of white sugar.So it's more healthy recipe compare to normal halwa.Let's see how to prepare pumpkin halwa.


In this pumpkin halwa recipe no need to add colouring powder.If you add pure jaggery powder it will give nice color for halwa.No need to add more ghee for this kind of halwa recipes.

INCRIDIENTS

White pumpkin - 250 gram
Jaggery powder - 50 gram
Cardamom powder
Cashew - 4
Badam - 4
Ghee - 2 spoon

INSTRUCTIONS

* To begin Pumpkin halwa recipe , cut the pumpkin into small pieces. Remove all seeds from the pumpkin.if you want to remove skin you can remove skin also.In a mixer jar add pieces of pumpkin.

* Grind the pumpkin pieces like juices.Grind it well without any pieces.

* Add pumpkin juices into the pan.Boil it well until raw smell goes out.Keep mixing the pumpkin juice while boiling .

* Then add jaggery powder and cardamom  powder with the pumpkin mix and mix it well.

* While mixing the sugar jaggery and pumpkin mix keep the flame on low.Boil it well untill water dried out from pumpkin.

* In a kadai add two spoon of ghee.if ghee heats up add crushed cashews and badam.Fry it well in the ghee.

* Add fried cashews and badam in the pumkin halwa.And also add some ghee in the halwa.Mix it well.

* Cook the halwa mix well till oil seems out from the halwa.If you see oil seems out from it switch off the stove.Now halwa ready to serve hot.

* Best time to serve afternoon lunch time.Festive time also you can prepare it and serve.

* If you wish,you can remove the skin from pumpkin.
