Kuzhi paniyaram is the most traditional breakfast recipe in south india.Kuzhi paniyaram usually prepared from normal idli batter.No need to prepare separate batter for kuli paniyaram recipe .There is so many varieties in Kuli paniyaram recipes . There are egg kuzhi paniyaram,kara Kuzhi paniyaram,Sweet paniyaram.Most of the people think for maintaing Kuzhi paniyaram pan is very tough.Because of the above reason most of the people avoid to prepare Kuzhi paniyaram.But don't get worry of this,here i am giving some of the tips to clean Kuzhi paniyaram pan.


Serve this Kuzhi paniyaram with different chutnies like coconut chutney,Kara chutney and tomato chutney. I added small onion in this recipe .it's gives more taste for Kuzhi paniyaram.Let's see How to prepare Kuzhi paniyaram recipe.


Cooking Time : 10 minutes 
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 3 members


INCRIDIENTS 

Idli batter/ Dosa batter - 250 ml
Small onion - 200 gram
Red chilly  - 5 
Jeera - 1 spoon
Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
Urad dal split - 1/2 spoon
Channa dal - 1/2 spoon
Curry leaves
Salt
Ground nut oil

INSTRUCTIONS 

* To begin Kuzhi paniyaram recipe,Peel those small onions and cut into small pieces. Broke the red chilly and finely chop the curry leaves.

* In a hot pan / kadai add spoon of oil. If the oil gets heat add mustard seeds,urad dal and channa dal.

* Then add finely chopped small onions, red chilly, jeera and curry leaves.

* Fry it well in the oil till get golden brown color.Don't over fry the onion. 

* Now start to prepare batter for Kuzhi paniyaram.Take normal idli / dosa batter. Add some of the water in the batter and make like a liquid. Don't add more water otherwise paniyaram not coming well.

* Then add all the fried onion in the batter and mix it well.

* Place the kuzhi paniyaram pan in the stove and switch on the stove.Heat the pan for 3 minutes. If the pan gets heat add some of the oil on the pan.

* if the oil gets heat put the batter one by one in the Kuzhi paniyaram pan.leave it for two minutes. 

* By use of stick turn the paniyaram one by one. Cook it for 3 minutes. While cooking, turn the paniyaram into all the sides. Keep the flame on low.

* Now Kuzhi paniyaram ready to serve hot with some coconut chutney and tomato chutney.

* Best time to serve at Kuzhi paniyaram at dinner.


How to prepare Kuzhi paniyaram recipe with pictures

Note:

* Always try to use small onion for the Kuzhi paniyaram.small onion only gives more taste.
* Don't over heat the pan,otherwise kuzhi paniyaram not coming well.
* if you want paniyaram more crispy,add some of the rava with batter.it will give more crispness to paniyaram.
