There are many types of mutton gravy recipes in South India.In Tamil Nadu most of them like chettinad style mutton kulambu.In Karnataka, they will prefer Mutton Korma with mudde.In each state prefer different taste Mutton recipes.Here I am going to prepare simple mutton gravy in pressure cooker within half hour.All of them like this kind method only. Because it's easy to make and best side dish for rise and ragi mudde.Once you try this recipe Every week you will follow this method only.



Incridients

Mutton - 1/2 kg

Oil

Turmeric powder

Finely chopped big onion - 2

Tomato - 1

Ginger Garlic paste - 1 spoon

Jeera - 1/2 spoon

Green chillies - 1

Cinnamon - 1 inch

Clove - 2

Coriander leaves

Curry leaves

Coriander powder - 2 spoon

Mutton masala(optional) - 1 spoon

Garam masala - 1 spoon

Jeera powder - 1/2 spoon

Fennel powder - 1/2 spoon

Red chilli powder - 1/2 spoon

Salt as required

How to make mutton kulambu with step by step



* Before start cooking wash the meat with turmeric powder well. Turmeric powder helps to kill the bacteria in meat.

* In a Pressure cooker add 3-4 spoon of oil.If oil gets heat add some jeera, green chilli, cinnamon and clove.

* Add some curry leaves also.if it's fried well,add some of the finely chopped onion and fry it well till get golden brown color.

* If onion fried well add some of the finely chopped tomatoes.

* Then add washed mutton and also add some ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder.Fry the mutton well with the oil.Then only meat smell won't come from the gravy.

* Then add coriander powder,mutton masala, garam masala powder,red chilli powder, jeera powder, Fennel powder and also add required salt.Mix it well with all the masala till oil comes out from the meat.if you feel dry add some water.

* Once raw smell of masala goes out add 300 ml of water to cook the meat.

* Mix the gravy well. And close the cooker , pressure cook it for 20 minutes till get three Whistles in low flame.

* After 20 minutes open and add some Coriander leaves and mix well.

* Now mutton gravy ready to serve with hot rice and ragi mudde.





Note:

* Pressure cook it for 20 minutes on low flame.
* Don't forget to wash meat with turmeric powder.
